Paintball Guns

Your first and most important purchase is your paintball gun.  We have broken down paintball gun categories based on type of play: beginner gun, scenario gun, tournament gun and pro gun.  Based on your knowledge and skill level, we feel that you will be able to make a sound decision on your paintball gun purchase based on the criteria we have provided.  We now offer all of the different levels of guns in both 68 caliber and 50 caliber paintball markers.

Beginner paintball guns include manufacturers like Spyder and Azodin.  Both of these manufacturers offer low priced mechanical and electronic markers that will do more than get the job done when playing on the field.  At this level of the game, you are getting out played instead of out gunned, so don’t feel like you need to spend a lot of money to compete.  You need to purchase reliability and that is what the Azodin and Spyder paintball guns offer.  These guns are fully customizable and are a great value.

Scenario paintball guns are the next step up when you want to look the part and not just play the part.  Gun makers like Tippmann and BT specialize in simulating their paintball markers to look like the real thing.  Tippmann has now partnered with the US Army to offer the paintball version of real guns that are currently being used in live warfare.  BT has also entered the branding game by releasing the H&K paintball marker line.  Both of these markers are paintball scenario markers at the beginner price range of less than $100 for a gun, however, they also offer markers that will get you more for your dollars like the Tippmann X7 or BT TM-15.  You do not have to purchase a scenario paintball gun to compete in scenario games because any paintball marker will due.  But if you can play the part, look the part and deliver the firepower you want, wouldn't a scenario paintball marker make your experience that much better.  Even Spyder offers a scenario line with their MR1 and Spyder MR4 paintball markers in both 68 cal and 50 cal.

Tournament paintball guns are the next step in your gun purchase when you need more firepower.  Your personal experience has gotten better and now you are starting to get out gunned instead of outplayed.  Empire offers the Invert Mini which is probably the hottest selling low priced tournament paintball gun that we offer.  It offers the speed, light weight and versatility of any of the other tournament markers at a cheaper price.  The Planet Eclipse ETEK3 is the top of the line in the tournament marker world.  It gives you all the speed and performance you need without the high dollar price tag.  The Proto PMR and Dangerous Powers G4 are also good choices when it comes to getting what you paid for.  When looking at a tournament gun, always insure the air efficiency, weight, available accessories to customize and the warranty meets your needs.  Of course, we will not sell you a gun that we do not feel meets all of those criteria.

Pro Paintball guns are the last stop in any paintball player’s gun collection.  Pro guns like the DYE NT, Planet Eclipse GEO 2, Ego SLS and the Bob Long Victory  offer bells and whistles that you could never imagine and will insure that you never get out gunned again.  All of the circuit boards are programmable to your personal style of play and every setting is adjustable to insure that you are able to shoot any type of paint in any type of weather at any speed you like.  These paintball markers come in a variety of colors and finishes with each one being unique.   Many new pro markers have no external hoses and some even come with computers that will talk to inform you of  your settings.  When choosing a pro paintball gun, always look at air efficiency and the type of paintball marker it is, whether it is a poppet valve design like the Ego or a spool valve design like the DYE NT.  Poppet valve guns require less maintenance, are more air efficient and tend to work in any type of weather.  Spool valve guns are high maintenance, require regular cleaning, are extremely accurate but tend not to work too great in cold weather.   We just want to make sure that you research your purchase before making that decision.  Most pro paintball guns have a price tag of $1000.00 or more.

Paintball Accessories

Everybody likes to customize their paintball gun to make it unique.   Looking pretty is important but most of the paintball accessories we offer are for more than just cosmetics.  Virtue and Tadao offer upgraded boards that increase firepower for your paintball marker.  Custom Products is the go-to for almost any type of aftermarket paintball accessories.  They make feednecks, regulators, dust cover, foregrips, drop forwards, direct mounts, and asa’s, but their specialty is their sling and rake triggers.   From gauges, hoses, macroline fittings, grips, batteries and even oem parts, we carry all the little and big parts that you will need.

Paintballs

Purchasing paintballs is like buying gas for your car.  Certain guns require certain types of paint and some guns will shoot any type of paint.  For all CO2 users, we recommend any type of rec-ball or mid-grade paintballs.  CO2 is a little harder on the actual paintball depending on the weather outside. A thinned shell paint like tournament grade paintballs could end up breaking in your barrel.  A rec-ball paintball is almost always certain to shoot out of your gun without any breakage.  It has a thicker shell to insure it will work out of any gun and sometimes requires you to shoot someone twice due to bouncing.  Mid-grade paintballs come with a more colorful shell and fill, tend to fly a little straighter and will provide a brighter splat for you to see when you hit your target.  Mid-grade paintballs are good for beginner level guns during spring and fall months but not recommended for temperatures under 45 degrees.  Tournament and Pro guns tend to shoot the mid-grade balls in any type of weather and with the better performance and bigger splat, the extra cost for the upgrade is well worth it.  Tournament paintballs are specifically designed for guns with low operating pressures.  Most tournament guns and all pro guns will shoot the tournament paintball with no problems.  The thin shell and non-wipeable thick fill makes the Ultra Evil paintball a great choice for tournament play.  We even go the extra step to make sure that you receive fresh and unbroken paintballs when you make your purchase from us here at First Call Paintball.   We stock RPS, DXS, 50 cal paintballs, GI Mil-Sim, WPN, XO, Tiberius as well as grenades, smoke bombs and even reusable paintballs.

All of our paintballs are inspected prior to shipping to insure they arrive intact to you.  We even provide 100% guarantee that your paintballs will arrive unbroken or we replace to you at no charge.  Should there be any damage during shipping, just notify us upon receipt and we will replace immediately.  We take care of all insurance claims with shipping.  That’s just one more reason to make us your First Call for all your paintball needs.

Paintball Tanks

A paintball gun does not recognize the type of gas that is being used to shoot the paintball, it only recognizes the pressure.  CO2 paintball tanks have long been a source of air due to low cost and relative availability.  However, CO2 is a very unstable gas due to the liquid inside transferring to gas at different temperatures.  This instability causes different pressures to enter your valve resulting in different speeds being shot out of the gun, thus making the gun inconsistent and in some cases causing paint breakage.  Compressed air paintball tanks are a much more reliable source of air for your paintball marker.  It always delivers the same amount of pressure making your gun more consistent and more accurate.  Almost all electronic guns require compressed air to function properly because they are not designed for liquid CO2.   The most popular compressed air paintball tank is the 48/3000 nitro tank.  This tank can be used with any paintball gun.  It offers 500 or more shots depending on your gun and is relatively inexpensive.  Pure Energy offers this 48/3000 nitro tank at a very reasonable price.  For those of you that want more shot capacity or maybe a lighter paintball tank, Ninja has several sizes available, they are made in the USA and offer a price tag that will fit your budget.  Crossfire, known for the fastest recharge rate on the market, and Guerilla Air also offer similar sizes and shapes as the other brands mentioned, all within the same price range.

We also carry all the paintball tank accessories you would need to keep your tank in good use.  From tank covers, burst discs, replacement valves, to bottle orings and even paintball remotes, First Call paintball is sure to have the items you need.

Paintball Barrel

A barrel purchase is usually the first item you will buy after your initial gun purchase.  It is single most easy- to- install item that will bring you the most significant performance upgrade.  Instead of having to shoot an entire hopper of paint at someone standing behind that little hole in the fort, you can now eliminate them with just two or three shots.

We recommend a 14 inch paintball barrel when making your purchase.  Anything shorter than 14 inches and you will lose accuracy over distance and anything over 14 inches and you are just using more air to push the ball out of the end of the barrel, with no significant increase in accuracy.

There are three types of paintball barrels to choose from when determining what type to purchase:  a one piece barrel, a two piece barrel and paintball barrel kits. The most popular once piece barrel is the J&J Ceramic barrel.  The J&J offers a ceramic coating which puts the least amount of resistance on the ball thus making it more accurate.  Should you break paint in the barrel, it will clean itself out due to the ceramic coating on the inside and is at a price that is more than affordable.   The most popular two piece barrel is the Dye Ultralite barrel.  The ultralite has been the choice of tournament players for years, comes in many colors, three different base sizes and several different lengths.  It does come with a higher price tag than most other two piece barrels, but you will be able to justify the purchase once you play with it.  The J&J Edge kit gets great reviews from scenario players and the new TechT ifit barrel system has been well received from the tournament players.

Paintball Clothing

We carry all the new paintball gear from the Dye C10, Empire Grind, Planet Eclipse and Proto Defender lines.  If you are looking to get a matching paintball jersey and pants, we have what you are looking for.  If you have a team, be sure to check out our team sponsorship program to get your team outfitted with matching paintball clothing at a discounted price.

We do not just carry jerseys and pant , we also have all of the hot and in demand casual wear from Eclipse and Dye.  It is just as important to look good off the field as in the dead box.  Do not forget about padding.  Choosing the right paintball elbow and knee pads will insure that you don’t get too beat up to play the next game.  Some of the new performance tops like the JT Armor top are even designed to help with bouncing paint when you really need to stay alive.  Cleats, socks, ponchos, shorts and t-shirts are just a few of the items that make our paintball clothing section a must stop when looking for a deal.

Paintball Masks

Choosing the right paintball mask is almost as important as your gun purchase.  You can have the fastest gun on the market but if you cannot see what you are shooting at, what good is the gun to you then.  We carry the newest items like the Dye I4 paintball goggle system and the new Empire Event Ink goggle.  These paintball masks are light weight with thermal lens already installed to insure you stay fog free when in the middle of battle.  Our JT paintball goggle line is the most popular brand due the different styles and colors.  The JT Flex 8 Full Cover is a big hit amongst scenario players as is the ever popular JT Pro Flex goggle with the tournament players.  Be sure to not buy your paintball mask just based on price, make sure it has a thermal lens and offers the protection you need.  All of our paintball goggles are ASTM approved and are sure to offer the protection you demand.

Check out our vast selection of lens colors and cleaners in our goggle accessory section. Whether your eyes are sensitive or if you just like to have the mirror look for your goggle, First Call has the lens’s and the cleaning accessories  you need to keep your paintball gear ready for play.  Replacement goggle frames, soft ears and goggle straps are just a few more of the accessories you will find in our goggle category.

Paintball Harness

You always need to make sure you have extra balls when in the middle of battle and everybody has a different style of play.  Check out our paintball harness section to see what style works best for you.  Whether you just want to carry a simple beginner pack like the NXe4+1 which will also allow the use of a remote or  you want a scenario tactical vest like the GenX tactical vest,  First Call has the style and color that you want.   We also offer different pods to go with those packs like the 140 round pod from Gen-X, the 100 round pod, the Dye lock lid pod or even the 10 round tube for those stock class players.  We also carry the NXe Elevation line which is the most popular pack amongst tournament teams and of course we have our signature NXe Gat Series packs which go with any team uniform.   Do not get caught on the field without extra paint, you can thank us later.

Paintball Gear Bag

You need to protect your investment and what better way than by keeping all of you paintball gear together in one paintball gear bag.  The Dye Explorer bag is the Cadillac of all the gear bags we offer.  With plenty of room and indestructible rolling wheels, it’s an excellent choice for the player that demands the best.  The Nxe Executive and the Eclipse Roller bags are also great choices for the player that has a lot of stuff.  We also offer smaller bags like the Tippmann Back pack, the JT back pack, the Eclipse razor and Kingman roller bag for the player that does not have as much stuff and is on a budget. Whatever paintball gear bag you choose, First Call has the paintball gear bag you want at the price you want to pay.

Paintball Hoppers

Your paintball hopper is a crucial part to unlock your gun’s potential.  If you have a gun that will shoot 30 balls per second you will need a paintball hopper that can feed that fast.  The Dye Rotor loader and the Empire Prophecy loader have been in high demand in the tournament market.  They offer easy tear down for cleaning, they are lightweight, and most importantly they are fast.  Both of these loaders offer high capacity shells for some scenario players that like to shoot a lot of paint.  But the Pinokio loader leads the field amongst woodsball players when it comes to high capacity paintball loaders.  However, a simple gravity fed loader like the Primo loader or Gen-X 200 round loader will get the job done no matter what type of gun you have.  Most loaders have a snap tight lid and a 200 round capacity.  We also offer the new Extreme Rage 100 round loader for those pump class players that want to keep it small.

We also offer tons of aftermarket parts for all of the loaders we carry.  Replacement shell kits, exalt feed gates, virtue crowns and even aftermarket loader boards are just a few of the accessories we keep in stock to keep you on the edge of your game.
